Job Responsibilities:
1. Follow Quintiles System Life-Cycle (SLC) and Computer System Validation (CSV) procedures, as appropriate
2. Assist with the creation of a User Requirements Specification (URS) document in collaboration with the Lead User or delegated member of the applicable business group
3. Assist in the collaboration with the Development group to create a Functional Specification (FS) document
4. Assist with process modeling to clarify business requirements, and to enhance or re-engineer business processes, prior to, or in parallel with, solution design and implementation, as necessary
5. As needed, assist with the review of the Performance Qualification (PQ) document(s) prior to authorization and execution, to ensure that it incorporates previously-captured requirements, and includes tests or test steps that explicitly address each identified user requirement
6. Assist developers with adherence to business requirements and UI design specifications
7. Assist in the development of training and support programs for global technology and process implementations, as needed
8. Collaborate with Global IT Solutions functional groups by adhering to established processes to ensure that business requirements are delivered through successful project implementation of optimal, cost-effective solutions
9. Assist in the gathering of initial Business Case requirements & other pre-project activities (e.g., high-level requirements, project scope, objectives)
10. Assist with the management of the specified business/systems requirements, working closely with the designated Project Manager to facilitate progress of the project
11. Perform other duties as assigned
Candidate Profile:
1. Possesses good written and oral communication skills
2. System Lifecycle Methodology experience preferred
3. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new environments
4. Self-driven and motivated software developer that takes pride in the development of high quality, on time, within budget projects
5. Good technical and business writing skills
6. Knowledge of best practices for user interface design
7. Strong interpersonal skills
8. Ability to learn and use modeling languages when / where required
9. Ability to learn and use graphical design and prototyping tools when / where required
10. Negotiation and customer management skills
11. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and business concepts to technical audiences
12. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients
